Gadeoksan (858m), rising on the ridge extending southeast from Hwaaksan (1,468m), the highest peak in Gyeonggi Province, is located between the ridges of Mongdeoksan and Bukbaesan. This place is beautiful in all seasons: in spring, various flowers and new sprouts bloom; in summer, the green foliage and an abundance of purple-flowering bush clovers captivate with their beauty; in autumn, the green grassland forms a wave of silver grass; and in winter, the snowy landscape is superb. From the summit of Gadeoksan, Hwaaksan is visible to the northwest, and to the south, the Mokdong Plain and the ridge extending beyond Bukbaesan and Gyegwansan to Samaksan come into view. To the east, Uiamho Lake, Chuncheonho Lake, and the lakeside city of Chuncheon are visible.
