Geumseonsa Temple (Seoul)

Geumseonsa Temple is a beautiful temple filled with the scent of pine trees and surrounded by a stunning natural environment. It is located in Gugi-dong, Jongno-gu, where Inwangsan Mountain, home to the Blue House and Gyeongbokgung Palace, is clearly visible. Passing by the Office of the Five Northern Korean Provinces and following the Bibong Course of Bukhansan National Park, you will encounter the first gate, the Iljumun Gate of Samgaksan Geumseonsa Temple. Passing through the Banyajeon Hall where Buddhist services are held, you will find a pine tree over 200 years old in the center. Beyond the pine tree, climbing the 108 steps leads to the Daejeokgwangjeon Hall, which enshrines the main Buddha of the temple. This hall is located at the very center and highest point of the temple, showcasing its grandeur. To the right is the Samseonggak Hall, and there is a Hongyeogyo Bridge where the first-grade water of Bukhansan Mountain gathers and flows down.
