Why travelers stop here
Seoul Battleship Park is a naval theme park created using three retired warships: the Seoul Battleship, which served for 30 years in maritime defense before decommissioning, along with the Chamsuri-class patrol boat and a submarine. The three warships, preserved in their original state, offer unique exhibition and experience spaces not usually accessible, providing citizens visiting Seoul Hangang Park with new sights and activities for a special experience. Seoul Battleship Park consists of an information center, the Seoul Battleship, the Chamsuri, the submarine, a media wall, and a multipurpose plaza. The Chamsuri is a high-speed patrol boat responsible for coastal security and defense of South Korea, allowing visitors to experience internal workspaces such as the deck, communication room, and steering room, and to vividly view stories from the Joseon Navy to the present Republic of Korea Navy, as well as old ships and modern warships, on a large screen. The Seoul Battleship, floating on the Han River, is a Korean frigate with living spaces on the first floor and workspaces on the second to fourth floors preserved as they were, offering an immersive experience. In the evening, busking performances are held on the bow and stern decks, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Han River along with the performances. Nearby, Mangwon Hangang Park and Mangwon Market are located, making it a great place for outings with family, friends, or lovers.
