Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Gamuniorum is a peak located in Songdang-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and refers to a low-lying oreum situated just west of Seongbulorum. Facing the Red Oreum, this area has a dense forest of cedar and Japanese black pine on the mid-slope, with deciduous forest above. The name Gamuniorum was given because the dense forest makes it appear dark. The horseshoe-shaped crater is home to rare wildflowers such as white and pink hepatica, and the lush forest within the crater gives off a gloomy atmosphere, also meaning it is a sacred mountain. Along with the Red Oreum, it forms a cluster of oreums including Guduriorum and Chetmangorum, making it good for exploring together. Nearby attractions include Mulyeongariorum and Buyeong Condri Club.
