Samryongsa Temple

Samryongsa Temple is a temple affiliated with the Korean Buddhist Cheontae Order, located on the slopes of Yongmasan Mountain in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, where approximately 3,000 Buddhists engage in religious activities. It preserves the beauty of a traditional temple even within the city center. The temple consists of one basement floor and four above-ground floors (total floor area of 4,297㎡), with the 4th floor housing the Great Buddha Hall, the 3rd floor the Lotus Samadhi Hall, the 2nd floor a small Dharma hall and resting area for religious groups, and the 1st floor containing the temple affairs office, dining hall, and kitchen. Major religious groups active here include the Samhwa Choir, Youth Association, Jinyeo Tea Ceremony Group, Jeongto Society, Udumbara Flower Arrangement Group, and Yeonhwa Bongsa Society. It is a temple where various Buddhist events and cultural activities harmoniously blend, and it maintains strong connections with the local community.
