Seongsu-dong Handmade Shoe Street

Seongsu-dong in Seoul is the largest handmade shoe industrial district in Korea, where manufacturers related to handmade shoes are concentrated. Since the 1970s, handmade shoe companies have gathered one by one in Seongsu-dong, where land prices were relatively low in Seoul, and the handmade shoe industry began to take root. Currently, there are over 350 handmade shoe finished product manufacturers and about 100 intermediate processing and raw material distributors in Seongsu-dong. More than 70% of Korea's handmade shoe manufacturers are concentrated here.

The reason Seongsu-dong has been able to maintain its title as the core area of the handmade shoe industry is because all shoe-related companies are gathered in the area. Seongsu-dong has established a complete system from the stage of designing and developing products to final shipment and sales.
