Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Kyung Hee University Natural History Museum opened in 1978 to realize the founding spirit of Kyung Hee University, the creation of a cultural world, based on the results of long-term research on nature. The museum houses over 90,000 specimens collected since the 1940s, including species that have already become extinct in Korea or are recently endangered. Specimens of rocks, fossils, and flora and fauna collected by expert professors in various fields for research purposes are displayed across six floors to facilitate understanding of the current state of biological evolution and ecological changes. Guided tours are provided to help visitors understand and practice the importance of nature conservation and life based on these displayed specimens. Kyung Hee University Natural History Museum aims to educate visitors from children to adults by systematically learning about the classification and ecology of flora and fauna, thereby enhancing their curiosity about nature and awareness of nature protection. Address: 26, Kyungheedae-ro, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Hoegi-dong)
