Gallery Seorim is located at 523 Hakdong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It is a commercial art exhibition and sales space that first opened in 1984 as Seorim Gallery in Insa-dong by poet Kim Seong-ok. Kim Seong-ok, the representative poet of Seorim Gallery, played a key role in hosting the Cheongdam Art Festival in 1991 along with Park Yeo-sook Gallery in Gangnam, which was a cultural wasteland at the time, contributing to the Cheongdam-dong area of Gangnam-gu gaining a cultural and artistic identity. In April 2008, the gallery moved from Insa-dong to Cheongdam-dong, and its name was changed to Gallery Seorim. It continues to exhibit works by various artists, providing opportunities to experience diverse art.
