Gaksan (elevation 398m) is a mountain that borders the sea to the west of Samcheonpo Port and surrounds Silan-dong like a horseshoe. Although it is not well known to the general public due to the imposing presence of Woraksan Mountain across the way, it is a beloved mountain among local residents. The mountain is a typical earthen mountain, giving a gentle feel. Gaksan Fortress and a beacon station located on the southern ridge highlight the strategic importance of this mountain.
