Gangseo Sports Park

Gangseo Sports Park covers an area of 208,985㎡ and was completed in June 2002 with a total construction cost of 92.7 billion won. It consists of an indoor gymnasium that hosted fencing and badminton events for the 2002 Busan Asian Games, a hockey stadium with 2,000 seats, an auxiliary stadium with 500 seats, and an archery field. Gangseo Sports Park was developed as a sports family park not only with venues for various sports but also with leisure facilities such as a citizen sports and culture center. Two natural grass fields are used as exclusive practice grounds for Busan IPark and youth soccer clubs. The indoor gymnasium has 4,189 seats and hosts rental events, while the auxiliary gymnasium includes a swimming pool, badminton courts, and a training center. The park is a comprehensive sports park featuring a hockey stadium, archery field, soccer practice field, tennis courts, outdoor basketball court, and a small park. In early April, Gangseo Sports Park serves as the venue for the Daejeo Tomato Festival organized by the Daejeo Agricultural Cooperative.
