Gangwondojip

Gangwondojip, located in Gachang-myeon, Dalseong-gun, Daegu, is a restaurant famous for its grilled beef on a wire mesh. The main menu items are three types of bulgogi: duck bulgogi, pork bulgogi, and chicken bulgogi. The bulgogi is first grilled directly over charcoal at 600 degrees Celsius upon order, then gently cooked on a griddle with a candle lit at the table. The seasoning can be adjusted for spiciness, making it suitable for children, and the smoky flavor from the wire mesh along with the tender texture of the meat satisfies all five senses. Various vegetables, including water parsley, are provided for wrapping, adding to the enjoyment of the meal. After the meat is served, the ongsimi sujebi (hand-torn dough soup) is prepared, featuring chewy potato ongsimi in a hot broth, providing a feeling of fullness. Nearby attractions include Daegu Forest and Spa Valley water park, making it a good idea to visit before or after the meal.
