Why travelers stop here
Geoseunsaemi Oreum is located about 2.3 km from the entrance of Bijarim-ro, which connects Songdang from Daecheon-dong Sageori in Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si. This oreum has a spring (semi) flowing backward toward Hallasan Mountain in its southwestern crater (gumburi), hence the name Geoseunsaemi. It is a horseshoe-shaped oreum open to the west, with Andol Oreum and Batdol Oreum to the north, and Chik Oreum and Min Oreum to the south.
To the left of the oreum entrance is a path leading to the summit via the spring, and to the right is a trail connected to the Bijatree Forest Bath, and a forest path of cedar and cypress trees. The trail is flat enough for children and the elderly to explore comfortably, allowing visitors to enjoy a walk and forest bathing. The bijatrees here were directly planted by the residents of Songdang-ri, providing an opportunity for local income through the harvesting and sale of bija nuts, and offering a wonderful forest bath for travelers visiting this place.
