Located across from the Ilun-myeon Community Center in Geoje, Gopung Ssambap is a popular hanjeongsik (Korean table d'hôte) restaurant known for its generous portions and excellent taste, often drawing a line even on weekdays. Situated in an alley, there is no dedicated parking lot, so visitors must use a nearby public parking lot. The clean interior consists of table seating where you remove your shoes before entering. The menu offers two options: boiled pork ssambap (bossam ssambap) and vegetable ssambap, with a minimum order of two servings. The basic side dishes include a full table of doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), mackerel jjigae (mackerel stew), ssam vegetables, egg roll, bean sprouts, kimchi, pickled vegetables, ssamjang (dipping sauce), garlic, salted gallfish (galchijeot), and dried radish strips (mumallaengi). Additional charges apply for extra stew and meat. The nearby Jiseopo Waterfront Park and Sea World, which are great stops on a Geoje tour, are close by and worth visiting together.
