Naengmyeon (cold noodles) is generally a dish of inland regions. Goheung is an area with many seas. However, the place where you can eat delicious naengmyeon in Goheung is Gwansan Restaurant. Here, you won't hear words like mulnaeng, bibimnaeng, hoe naengmyeon, Pyeongyang, or Hamheung at all. There are only regular mulnaeng and double portions. The naengmyeon consists of slightly black arrowroot noodles with purple cabbage, cucumber, and half an egg. Even though it's mulnaeng, there is no broth visible. Only a lump of thin ice sprinkled with sesame powder is all there is. All you have to do is gently mix it until the ice melts. When you take a bite, all the expectations you had based on sight disappear. Unfortunately, it is not open from late autumn to early spring, so you must check before going.
