Gijang Ihwajang Hoejip

Ihwajang Hoejip, located at Daebyeon Port in Gijang, is a verified restaurant that has appeared on TV multiple times. You can enjoy ssambap (rice wrapped in lettuce) made with anchovies, a specialty of Gijang, along with straw-roiled hagfish. It is also famous as a place for group dinners, offering fresh seafood, sliced raw fish (hoe), and various dishes. The anchovy hoe features large anchovies mixed with cabbage and perilla leaves in a vinegar chili sauce, offering a sweet, sour, and savory taste. The hagfish is fresh and has a chewy texture. The first floor is used as an aquarium and kitchen, while the second floor, with a great view, has a hall where you can dine while looking out over the open view of Daebyeon Port.
