Why travelers stop here
Agricultural corporation Kkumbaragi Co., Ltd. is a rural experience activity group founded in 2001 through joint investment by the representative, who previously ran a personal workshop, and 11 local women. It aims to provide character education that teaches the value of soil and life through hands-on experiences where urban children directly touch soil and cultivate crops themselves. Additionally, it creates jobs for women with career interruptions and boosts farm household income by operating a store to sell local agricultural products such as gourd and sword beans. Experience programs include a year-long farming program and a day-trip experience program. The farming program recruits family participants every March, involving plowing fields, sowing seeds, personally cultivating crops, and harvesting, concluding with kimchi-making in December. Day-trip experiences include agriculture-based activities, horticulture, pottery during the off-season, hand painting, and tea ceremony experiences. Selected as a social agriculture activation support project in 2021, it is a community that works together, providing emotional stability through agricultural activities and supporting rural settlement for socially vulnerable groups such as residents traumatized by the Pohang earthquake, people with developmental disabilities, and local seniors.
