Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

2025 Hanbok Culture Week is a nationwide hanbok cultural event held annually during the third week of October to promote hanbok, which embodies Korean elegance and tradition, and to spread the culture of wearing hanbok in daily life. The slogan is 'Modern Hanbokpan, the Center of K-Culture.' Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Craft & Design Culture Promotion Agency, <2025 Hanbok Culture Week> presents diverse hanbok cultural programs such as fashion shows, performances, awards for hanbok contributors, and hands-on experiences at major hubs across the country. This year, it has established itself as a cultural festival that anyone can enjoy, with over 330 participating venues nationwide. Additionally, special events in overseas hubs such as Hong Kong, New York, and Berlin share the beauty of hanbok with the world, and an online campaign titled 'Characters, Wear Hanbok' utilizing mascot characters from six local governments, along with art balloon exhibitions, provide opportunities to enjoy hanbok more familiarly. Like the slogan of 2025 Hanbok Culture Week, 'Modern Hanbokpan,' we hope this will be a meaningful time to share the beauty and value of hanbok in the present day, the prime of Korean culture.
