Daegu Apsan Park

In Nam-gu, Daegu, stands Apsan Mountain, which rises 660 meters above sea level. Apsan is flanked by Sanseongsan Mountain (653m) to the left and Daedeoksan Mountain (546m) to the right. The park created in the northern valley of these three mountain ridges is Apsan Park. It has been developed as a park since 1970, and from 1981, it was developed again under a 10-year plan. It is the largest urban natural park in Daegu, covering an area of 5.08 million pyeong. A cable car with a total length of 790 meters operates to near the summit, and at the foot of the mountain, there are an archery field, a riding center, and a swimming pool, as well as a monument to poet Lee Ho-woo and the Nakdonggang Victory Memorial Hall built in 1979. Daedeok Park in Keun-gol has excellent landscaping facilities, making it popular as a family outing and a dating course for young couples.

Daegu Apsan Park has various walking trails befitting its name as a leisure space for Daegu citizens. Basically, there are walking trails starting from Daegu Apsan Park and connecting to Apsan Mountain, trails leading from Daegu Apsan Park to Sanseongsan Mountain, and trails connected to Daedeoksan Mountain. These diverse walking trails range from 2km to 4km each, so the biggest advantage is that you can choose a trail according to your preference and physical fitness. Taking the cable car to the Apsan Observatory, you can see the panoramic view of Daegu unfolding before your eyes.
