광주광역시 북구 무등로 1550 (금곡동)

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Neodeol, also called Neodeolgeong, is a pure Korean word meaning a slope scattered with many stones. The columnar joint zone formed during the late Cretaceous Period of the Mesozoic Era (approximately 87 to 85 million years ago) weathered and split to become the present Neodeol. Deoksan Neodeol is the largest Neodeol on Mudeungsan, stretching 600m in length and up to 250m in width, and along with Jigong Neodeol, it is a representative Neodeol of Mudeungsan.
