Why travelers stop here
Galnak-tang, made with Korean beef and octopus, is a specialty of Yeongam. The soup is boiled for 8 hours with beef short ribs, and fresh live octopus is added and lightly boiled, resulting in a refreshing yet deep flavor. The octopus is personally sourced by the owner from Musan mudflats and prepared fresh on the spot. The live three-legged octopus is wrapped around chopsticks and eaten, offering an excellent chewy texture. Various traditional Jeolla-do side dishes and salted seafood, such as changjeot (salted gizzard shad), toha-jeot (salted freshwater shrimp), and paraemuchim (seasoned green laver), are also generously served.<br>Address: 10 Seomun-ro, Yeongam-eup, Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do
