Dongbun Shik

Dongbun Shik is a kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant in Eonyang, Ulju-gun. It has the atmosphere of a simple, rural snack bar, run by a group of local grandmothers in a cooperative style, without a single owner. There is a grandmother in charge of noodles and another in charge of kimbap. The kalguksu is not cooked per order but is boiled in large batches of at least 10 servings at a time. Its excellent taste was featured on KBS-TV's 'Life's Master.' Water and kimchi are all self-service. The water is a refreshing and delicious barley tea, which is rare these days. The kimbap contains minari (water dropwort), giving it a fragrant and unique flavor. There is no dedicated parking lot, so you must park on the street near the restaurant. Jinha Beach and Ganwolsan Mountain are nearby, making it a good place to visit together.
