Why travelers stop here
Picturesque Dugaheon, a traditional Korean house, is located midway along the Seomjin River between Chimgyeok Station and Gajeong Station. Dugaheon is a cultural space that houses a pension, guesthouse, and cafe. At Dugaheon's cafe, Two-Wheel Shelter, you can enjoy a cup of tea while overlooking the Seomjin River bicycle path. The most famous signature menu item is homemade shaved ice, along with coffee, homemade traditional tea, and seasonal beverages. Additionally, the traditional Korean pension was built preserving traditional style, but special attention was paid to soundproofing and windproofing, and it features a clean kitchen and bathroom inside. Depending on the size of the hanok, it is divided into Neungso-gak, Changmangjae, and Hyeonjudang. The Dugaheon building won the Hanok of the Year Architecture Grand Prize at the 2012 Korea Hanok Competition. The hanok pension operates various experience programs, such as charcoal drawing, in connection with Dugye Oegajip Experience Village.
