Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Jukpo on Dolsando Island, dreaming of becoming the Venice of Korea, is located on the way to Yeosu Dolsan Hyangiram. It is a hidden travel destination with beautiful sea views, featuring transformed village alleyways and colorful sculptures on the seaside breakwater, creating photo spots. Before exploring the mural village, familiarizing yourself with the village map will help make your tour more comfortable. Starting from the bus stop, follow the alley tour and walk to Jukpo Port, where you can see the breakwater with a lighthouse, a pedestrian bridge, and a tile mural photo zone. The view of Jukpo Port from Mipunggyo, an arch-shaped bridge meaning 'beautiful wind bridge' connecting Jukpo Port and the breakwater, is quiet and beautiful. The island visible from Dumunpo Breakwater is Yado, also called Bulmuseom, where a sea path opens at low tide, allowing you to walk across. This island has Yonggul (Dragon Cave), and a legend says a dragon once lived there. Nearby attractions include Hyangiram, about a 10-minute drive away, and Bangjukpo Beach is adjacent.
