Mother Coffee Chodang Branch is a cafe located in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do. It is in a good location for having dessert after eating Chodang sundubu (soft tofu). This cafe combines potatoes and potato ongsimi, representative local specialties of Gangwon-do, with world-renowned coffee to create items such as Gamong Coffee (potato ongsimi coffee), Potato Melange (potato cream coffee), Gamongsimi Bread (potato ongsimi bread), Gamong Cheese Bread (potato ongsimi cheese bread), and Gamppuccino (potato cream + cappuccino). Gamong Coffee should be eaten within 5 minutes due to the nature of ongsimi (small rice cake balls) to be delicious, and Potato Melange has potato cream on top of coffee; to fully enjoy its flavor, you should not mix the coffee and potato cream but drink it until the end. The interior is clean and modern, and there is a terrace where you can enjoy the greenery. Although not large, there is a dedicated parking lot available.
