Mangyeon Falls is located below the pass leading to Suman-ri on the eastern foot of Mangyeonsan Mountain in Hwasun-eup. The waterfall, falling from a height of 10 meters, has been known since ancient times to be a place where neuralgia patients often visited to heal their ailments. There is a legend associated with Mangyeon Falls. Long ago, Manseok and Yeonsun were in love, but Manseok had to go to war, and they were separated. Yeonsun waited for Manseok, who did not return, and on the day she was forced by her parents to marry another man, she saw Manseok, who had become disfigured. Yeonsun fled the wedding chamber, secretly met Manseok, and came to this waterfall. Saying that they would fulfill their unfinished love in the afterlife, they jumped into the waterfall and died. Since then, the waterfall has been called Mangyeon Falls. Nearby tourist attractions include Unjusa Temple, Hwasun Hyanggyo, and Hwasun Dolmens.
