Sancheoneo (mountain trout) is a freshwater fish belonging to the salmon family, a cold-water species that lives in first-grade clean water areas. Its unique pattern (parmark) on the side, resembling neatly arranged vertical dots drawn with ink on thin hanji paper, is so beautiful that it is often called the 'Queen of the Valley.' If you want to enjoy properly prepared raw mountain trout and spicy stew, we recommend 'Myeongga' (CEO Im Yeon-jin), located near Hwacheon Information Industry High School, not far from the festival site. It offers the best taste and fresh raw fish using only freshwater fish caught from Paroho Lake and Hwacheoncheon Stream.
