Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
This is a restaurant that has been passed down for two generations over 30 years, operating with only two menu items: gamjatang (pork bone soup) and deungppyejjim (spicy steamed pork backbone). Unlike other places, the gamjatang here has a clear broth, so it is also called "clear gamjatang." Above all, the gamjatang here has a clean and deep flavor. According to the owner, "Using good ingredients produced locally is what creates this taste."
Additionally, the spicy deungppyejjim looks somewhat similar to dwaejigalbijjim (braised pork ribs), but it is made with japchae (glass noodles), nuts, and vegetables, and is prepared to be slightly spicy. The savory and moderately spicy flavors blend well together, making it a favorite among many people.
