Completed in 2012, Mokpo Bridge is a 4,129m long, 35~50m wide, four-lane round-trip road bridge connecting Mokpo North Port and Gohado Island. Its beautiful shape resembling a crane taking flight, combined with the sunset, creates a spectacular view. Mokpo Bridge is an automobile-only road bridge on National Route 1 in Mokpo City, with Jukgyo-dong and Yudal-dong on the land side, connecting Gohado and Heosado. It serves as a gateway to Mokpo, linking Mokpo New Outer Port and the West Coast Expressway. The shape of the main towers and cables embodies two cranes, the city bird of Mokpo, soaring over the waters off Mokpo.
