According to legend, when a fisherman did not return from the sea, his wife carried her child on her back, held a candleholder, and went to the beach to wait for her husband, eventually turning into stone. The husband, who drowned at sea, became a turtle and, upon seeing the candlelight, returned to the shore and also turned into stone.
