Baegun Lake is an artificial lake completed in 1953, located near Lotte Premium Outlet Time Villas. Situated on flat land at the meeting point of Cheonggyesan, Baegunsan, and Moraksan mountains, which surround it like a folding screen, it boasts beautiful scenery and is a popular destination for tourists from the Seoul metropolitan area, with numerous restaurants and cafes. Originally created to supply agricultural water, the lake now remains as farmland disappeared due to regional industrialization and urbanization.
A 3km decked walking trail around Baegun Lake offers a quiet and peaceful setting for leisurely strolls and water-gazing. In 2023, the Moomin Park opened within the lake area, featuring a playground and a 6m-diameter art ball that displays colorful videos every evening, making it ideal for families with children. Additionally, a well-organized large parking lot, a scenic lake circuit road for driving, a dock for motorboats and pedal boats, and various restaurants and live cafes along the lakeside provide diverse attractions, perfect for family outings and couple dates. The Uiwang Baegun Lake Festival is held annually in mid-September.
