Baekjehyang

Located in Buyeo-eup, Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Baekjehyang has been renovated from a lotus leaf rice specialty restaurant into a cafe selling lotus flower bread and traditional tea. It is situated on the way to Gungnamji Pond. The signature menu item, Buyeo lotus flower bread, is a distinctive food shaped like a lotus flower, a symbol of Baekje culture. Not only is it shaped like a lotus flower, but the bread is made by mixing lotus leaf powder, glutinous rice flour, and wheat flour with water boiled from lotus flowers and leaves that the owner grows organically. To capture the fragrance of the lotus flower in the bread, the flowers are picked before 8 a.m., before the petals open, and stored frozen. Additionally, various snacks made from lotus leaves, such as lotus leaf shakes and lotus leaf cookies, are also available.
