Not a fake retro but an original, Beonyeong Super retains the old atmosphere and is a grocery store and restaurant in a rural area of Jeongseon, famous for its barley rice. It is a small restaurant run by a kind-looking elderly couple, known for its barley rice served generously on a round tray. The barley rice is cooked with half rice and half barley for easy eating, and comes with various seasoned vegetables, strong soybean paste, and braised tofu. The generous elderly couple always gives one more bowl of barley rice than ordered. The rural warmth is heartwarming and welcoming. The hot buckwheat noodle soup called 'Kotdeungchigi Guksu' or Jeongseon-style dumpling soup are also delicacies.
