Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Boseong Tea Field Observatory is an observatory located at the cafe parking lot midway on the road from Daehan Dawon to Yulpo Beach, offering a direct view of the green tea fields. It provides a panoramic view of the vast tea fields set against the backdrop of Yeongcheon Reservoir, and as a bonus, small islands floating on the sea, Jeamsan Mountain, and Illimsan Mountain famous for its azalea fields unfold like a painting before your eyes. At Daehan Dawon, you have to climb to the top to see the sea, but here, you can stop your car and take in the green tea fields at a glance, making it highly accessible. It is free to visit, and a walking path down to the green tea fields is available, allowing for a stroll through the tea fields. Next to the observatory, there is a cafe (The World Where Green Leaves Unfold) where you can enjoy green tea and green tea ice cream, and photo opportunities are available at the photo zone. The paths between the continuously curving tea fields and the tall trees create an exotic landscape, with the mountains and reservoir in the background adding to the exotic atmosphere. It is a 5-minute drive from Daehan Dawon, and for those who have difficulty visiting Daehan Dawon due to time or health reasons, a brief stop at this observatory to see the green tea fields can be a healing experience.
