Jeongamsa Temple

Jeongamsa Temple is a temple of the Korean Buddhist Taego Order located on Buramsan Mountain, on the border between Nowon-gu, Seoul and Byeollae-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province. It is noted that Jeongamsa houses the Joseon Dynasty cultural heritage materials, Seoul Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 54, Amitabha Seven Assembly Painting, and No. 320, Yeyeommita Doryang Chambeop, but due to various reasons, these are currently managed by the Cultural Heritage Administration. Unlike other temples, it does not have an Iljumun (one-pillar gate). With Daeungjeon Hall at the center, Buramsan Mountain is to the left, Dobongsan Mountain's Jauunbong Peak faces to the right, and the downtown area of Nowon-gu can be seen in front. In Yongwangdang, a shrine dedicated to the Dragon God who controls rain and water, a statue of Yaksayeorae (Medicine Buddha) is enshrined, and there is also drinking water. Climbing the mountain path behind Daeungjeon Hall, one finds a round excavated stone cave containing Sanshinjeon (Mountain Spirit Hall) and Gwaneumjeon (Avalokitesvara Hall). It is located on the Buramsan hiking trail, so it can be visited during a climb.
