Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Children's Grand Park opened on May 5, 1973, Children's Day. Covering an area of 56,552㎡, it consists of green spaces with lush forests and blue lawns, serving as a rest and cultural space for children, youth, and general citizens, functioning as a public park. It also features various educational facilities, a zoo and botanical garden, and playgrounds.

On May 5, 2009, the park reopened with the addition of the 'Sea Animal Hall', an ecological aquarium where visitors can observe the underwater lives of polar bears and seals, and the 'Little Animal Village · Parrot Village', a large aviary where visitors can directly see parrot ecology. A 'Music Fountain' was also created, with water jets moving up, down, left, and right in sync with musical melodies. In the green area at the center of the park, an outdoor performance venue called 'Neung-dong Forest Stage' with 8,000 seats was established, and the old octagonal pavilion now houses a Korean cartoon character exhibition hall and a children's traffic safety experience center.
