Myeongdong

Myeongdong is a space reminiscent of a huge shopping city. Generally, Myeongdong Street refers to the approximately 1km stretch from Myeongdong Station on Subway Line 4 to Euljiro and Lotte Department Store. This area is densely packed with various brand stores, department stores, and duty-free shops. It is fittingly called the mecca of fashion, where you can purchase a wide variety of products such as clothing, shoes, and accessories. Nearby department stores include Lotte Department Store and Shinsegae Department Store, and shopping malls like Noon Square, Myeongdong Milleore, and M Plaza are located on Myeongdong Street. Various brand shops are concentrated on the central street and side alleys. Myeongdong offers plenty of food and entertainment along with shopping. Dining options include family restaurants, fast food outlets, as well as Korean, Western, and Japanese cuisine. Additionally, Myeongdong has many convenient facilities such as hair salons, banks, and theaters. Major tourist attractions in Myeongdong include Myeongdong Cathedral, the main parish building of the Archdiocese of Seoul of the Catholic Church in Korea, Myeongdong Art Theater, which was restored and opened from the former National Theater, and Cartoon Street.
