Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

A park restored from the Namsan Yejang area, which was a military training ground during the Joseon Dynasty, divided into ground and underground sections. Above ground, there is 'Memory 6' recreating the interrogation room of the Central Intelligence Agency, 'Relic Site' preserving the site of the Japanese Governor-General's residence, and 'Namsan Story' introducing the history and culture of Namsan. Additionally, a green pine forest, lawns, and walking paths have been created, making it a beloved resting place for citizens. Underground, there are the Yi Hoe-yeong Memorial Hall, an eco-friendly bus transfer center, and a green energy center. The Yi Hoe-yeong Memorial Hall is a space honoring the life and achievements of independence activist Yi Hoe-yeong, displaying his relics and records. Namsan Yejang Park is a park where the past and present, history and culture coexist, and it was the site of various historical events from the Joseon Dynasty through the Japanese colonial period to the military dictatorship era. To reflect on this historical significance, various historical relics and facilities were restored during the park's creation. Additionally, the park operates various exhibitions and educational programs to help citizens learn history and reflect on the values of peace and human rights.
