Marronnier Park

Marronnier Park is a cultural and artistic hub for Seoul citizens, located on the former site of Seoul National University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and College of Law. In this park, marronnier trees grow, planted on April 5, 1929, during the era of Keijō Imperial University, the predecessor of Seoul National University. The park is named after these trees. There is a children's playground, an outdoor stage, a fountain park, and sculptures on display. The outdoor stage is used for concerts by singers and various cultural events. Surrounding the park are small theaters such as the Main Theater of the Seoul Arts Center, Batgol Small Theater, and Dongsung Art Center. There are many famous restaurants and cafes with various concepts nearby. The park hosts numerous performances and events that are open to the public free of charge year-round, so there is always plenty to participate in and enjoy whenever you visit.
