The birth of Korea's 'Di Matteo' was triggered by actor Lee Won-seung's visit to 'Di matteo', a famous pizzeria in Naples, the home of Italian pizza, during the recording of KBS TV (Challenge Earth Expedition). At that time, after 7 nights and 8 days of intensive training camp (June 23, 1997) to challenge making authentic Neapolitan pizza, he was captivated by the unique taste of Neapolitan pizza and decided to introduce it to Korea, leading to the opening of Di Matteo. The Daehak-ro branch has a first floor and a 1.5 floor; the first floor is designed with no table floor steps for the convenience of the disabled and elderly, making it more accessible.
