Ponyjeong Hall

Located on the first floor of Hyundai I'Park Tower in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Ponyjeong Hall opened in 2008 as part of a memorial project, serving as both a space to commemorate the deceased and a multi-cultural space. Ponyjeong Hall is designed to be versatile, accommodating classical music concerts and exhibition spaces. Centered around a stage measuring 10 meters wide and 5 meters deep, it is equipped with state-of-the-art sound, video, and lighting facilities, enabling live recording and filming of performances. A reverberation time control device with adjustable panels is installed on one wall, allowing the reverberation time to be adjusted according to the genre of the performance. Notably, unlike performance halls with closed designs, Ponyjeong Hall features large sliding doors, creating an open space through a new concept of spatial design. Normally, the sliding doors are kept open, allowing the space to be used as an exhibition area or resting area; when hosting concerts, the sliding doors can be closed to easily transform the space into a performance hall isolated from the outside. Additionally, multi-vision screens and sound systems installed outside the hall allow visitors to enjoy live performances even from outside the hall.
