Galma Park

Galma Park, an urban neighborhood park located in the western part of Dunsan New Town, is built on an area of 91,938㎡. In spring, the park is adorned with wildflowers such as fringe trees and tulips, in summer with deep green foliage, and in autumn with beautiful fall foliage, making it a park of a size that allows for a pleasant walk along the trails. In addition to walking trails, the park houses the Olympic Memorial National Sports Center, a sports facility. This center is equipped with multi-purpose complex facilities for sports, culture, and arts, and operates various programs such as swimming, fitness, children's Taekwondo classes, and painting classes. Furthermore, within the park, there are the Hyoja Geochang Shin Clan Jeongnyeo (a commemorative plaque), Pyeongannu Pavilion, Galma Pavilion, and the Monument to the Founding of the 2nd Regiment of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. Additionally, various outdoor sports facilities such as a futsal court, basketball court, soccer field, tennis court, and gateball court are located here. Galma Park is very close to Galma Station on Daejeon Metro Line 1. Nearby attractions include Wolpyeong Library, the Government Complex Daejeon Nature Garden, and Saemmeori Park.
