Demisaem (Origin of the Seomjin River)

Demisaem is located in Sangchukmakgol, Wonsinam Village, Jinan County. The peak where Demisaem, the origin of the Seomjin River, is situated is called Cheonsangdemi, and the word 'demi' originates from the Jeolla dialect 'deomi' (peak). Cheonsangdemi means 'the peak that rises to the heavens from the Seomjin River.' To reach Demisaem, you can walk from Palseonjeong Pavilion in Wonsinam Village along a 1.19km trail for about an hour. The area is well-preserved in its natural state, making it useful as a natural ecology learning site.
