Managed by the Jeollabuk-do Forest Environment Research Institute, Demisaem Natural Recreation Forest is located below the peak called Cheonsangdemi (1,080m) to the east of Demisaem, the source of the Seomjin River. Covering an area of approximately 2㎢, the recreation forest features facilities such as forest houses, a recreation center, a water playground, and a forest culture plaza, as well as attractions like a wildflower garden and a natural waterfall. Within the recreation forest, Seongaksan Mountain preserves 301 species of plants across 81 families and 195 genera, including a royal azalea colony at the summit, a layerwood tree colony in the alpine wetland, and a Mongolian oak colony from Cheonsangdemi to Ogyechi. In addition to offering views of Woroyong Recreation Forest, Satgatbong Peak, and Palgongsan Mountain, a 12km hiking trail has been established. Demisaem Natural Recreation Forest operates pet-friendly rooms to minimize travel inconvenience.
