Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Buguri Village is a mountain village located between Chuncheon, Hwacheon, and Yanggu, about a 40-50 minute drive from downtown Chuncheon. It is one of the coldest inland areas and is known for having the latest-blooming cherry blossoms. When cherry trees in the city have already turned green, the trees here remain vibrant, as if waiting for late visitors. The sight of snowflake-like cherry blossoms dotting the blue spring sky offers a distinctly different sentiment from what you experience in the city. It is a cherry blossom spot like a last gift box for those who missed out on cherry blossom viewing due to their busy daily lives. It is also recommended to visit Geonbongryeong Seunghodae, a Milky Way spot about a 15-20 minute drive from Buguri Cherry Blossom Road.
