Namsan Sunhwan Nadeul-gil

Namsan, rising tall in the heart of the city, is a landmark of Seoul and a beloved resting place for citizens in all four seasons. The Namsan Dulle-gil is a walking path that circles Namsan, starting from Seoul Tower, and is a pleasant trail for a stroll. The total length is 7.3 km, taking about 2 hours and 30 minutes. The course consists of the Bukcheok Sunhwan-ro, which is easy for anyone to walk, the historical and cultural path with stories, the natural ecological path and wildflower garden path that offer glimpses of Namsan's natural environment, and the forest trail. Among these, the Bukcheok Sunhwan-ro has been designated as a barrier-free walking path, as it can be used by wheelchair users, stroller users, and visually impaired pedestrians without significant assistance from companions or guardians. The Bukcheok Sunhwan-ro of Namsan Dulle-gil is a 3.4 km walking path that starts at the Namsan Cable Car entrance and extends to the National Theater of Korea. Vehicle and bicycle traffic is prohibited, allowing for safe walking. Braille blocks are installed in the center of the entire path, and based on the middle path with braille blocks, non-disabled people are encouraged to walk on the right side to maintain order, which is why it is also called the 'Path of Consideration.' Tourist highlights of Namsan Dulle-gil include the 'Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall,' which displays calligraphy left by independence activist Ahn Jung-geun, related photos, the Order of Merit for National Foundation, letters, newspaper reports from the trial, and inscriptions by famous figures; the 'Photo Island' at Jamdu-bong, named for its resemblance to a silkworm's head; the 'Love Locks' visible at Namsan Seoul Tower Plaza; and 'Namsan Seoul Tower,' a transmission and observation tower near the summit of Namsan that offers views of downtown Seoul.
