서울특별시 중구 남산공원길 125-72

Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

This monument was erected on October 9, 1968, by the Anti-Communist Youth Movement Monument Committee at 125-72 Namsan Park-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul (formerly San 5-6, Yejang-dong, Jung-gu) to honor the souls of patriotic martyrs who died while carrying out the anti-communist youth movement and to perpetuate their spirit of national defense. The monument bears the inscription: 'This stone is not a stone, but the hearts of anti-communist fighters.' It serves as a monument expressing gratitude to the young patriotic martyrs, who had many years ahead of them, for dedicating their short lives to the eternal fatherland. The nearby Namsan Palgakjeong Pavilion and Bongsudae Beacon Mound are close to the monument, making it a good spot to visit together.
