Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Yeouido Park, which opened as Yeouido Plaza in 1971 on the site of a former runway, has established itself as a space for various national events and leisure activities. In January 1999, the black asphalt was removed and it was reborn as a green sanctuary, consisting of four spaces: the Natural Ecology Forest, Culture Plaza, Grass Plaza, and Korean Traditional Forest.
Among these, Culture Plaza is a place where cultural events such as various festivals and performances are held, allowing citizens to participate together. Additionally, the plaza features a flagpole and an Air Force memorial sculpture, an airplane, making it a meaningful location.
