Seoul Arts Center

Seoul Arts Center is Korea's premier complex cultural arts space with world-class facilities. It consists of five buildings located at the foot of Umyeonsan Mountain: the Opera House, which has theaters capable of staging performances in genres such as opera, theater, dance, and musicals; the Concert Hall, which has a hall dedicated to classical music performances; Hangaram Art Museum, which has a total of six exhibition halls; Seoul Calligraphy Art Museum, the world's only exhibition space dedicated to calligraphy; and Hangaram Design Museum, which houses the Arts Resource Center where the most materials related to culture and arts can be accessed. Right next to Seoul Arts Center are the separate institutions of the National Gugak Center and the Korea National University of Arts. Within each space of Seoul Arts Center, the National Ballet, National Opera, National Chorus, Seoul Arts Group, Korean Film Archive, Arts Council Korea, and Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra are based.
