Mokin Museum Moksukwon

Opened in 2006 in Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, the Mokin Museum relocated to Buam-dong in 2019 and reopened as Mokin Museum Moksukwon. 'Mokin' refers to wooden sculptures carved in the likeness of traditional figures and various animals.

Mokin Museum Moksukwon houses approximately 12,000 pieces of folk wooden sculptures, including funeral bier decorations, shrines, and temple carvings, primarily from the Joseon Dynasty through the modern and contemporary periods. These materials serve as important foundational resources for verifying and researching the era's historical and living conditions.
