Ganwoldo Village

Located in the center of the Seosan A District seawall, Ganwoldo is a place where the sea, land, and lake harmonize beautifully, with the 30km-long Cheonsuman Bay stretching to the south and Ganwolho Lake to the northeast. On the Ganwoldo Beach Plaza, there is the "Eoriguljeot Monument," the first food monument built in Korea. It is said that the hermitage Ganworam was founded by Master Muhak and later rebuilt by Master Song Mangong as Ganworim, and the name Ganwoldo originates from this hermitage. Ganworam is located on a small rocky island and can be reached on foot during low tide, which occurs twice a day.
